When will DOT be split? According to OKLink data from Ouke Cloud Chain, as of 11:59 Beijing time on May 27th, the total amount of DOT is about 10,000,000,000,000. It will be divided into 3 smaller versions: dot-slot and dot-plutot, v1-rpc, and eth2-rpt.

Currently, the largest trading platform on Polkadot is the Ethereum smart contract wallet. Due to the complexity of smart contract code on Ethereum, two versions have been designed to ensure high TPS. The first version is based on the Ropsten test network upgrade, and the second version is for the Polkadot main network.

The prospect of DOT split

According to reports from the PolkaWorld community in the Polkadot Chinese community, the Polkadot team is considering upgrading the DOT token before the upcoming split.
